About Us

South Shore Animal Services is located at 1090 Washington Street, Hanover MA. We are in the yellow building. We are working on signage, so keep an eye out for 1076 Washington, we share a driveway with 2 other white buildings.

We are an affordable clinic that offers well visits, annual visits, vaccines, nail trims we offer spays, neuters, dentals, lump removals and x-rays.

Dr. McAdam received her DVM in 1997 from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.  The Visiting Vet, Inc. business began with 6 patients and had grown to over 300 patients by the end of 2001.  It became evident that the business was referring many clients demonstrating the need to purchase equipment and rent a building, or preferably purchase an already existing practice to be able to continue to grow by providing full service to her patients.  In 2002, Dr. McAdam purchased the Ashdod Animal Clinic in Duxbury.  The Visiting Vet, Inc. ~ Ashdod Clinic continued to grow with the help of a dedicated, knowledgeable and skilled staff.  Ashdod Clinic grew and relocated to Hanover in 2017 with a new business name GBSS South Shore Animal Services, LLC.

The Philosophy of South Shore Animal Services is to provide the best possible care to our clients and patients, with that as our primary goal, clients will want to return to our practice.  Our patients and their owners will receive the very best in quality care and service.
